It’s a bronze medal for Napanee’s Britt Benn and Team Canada at the Clermont-Ferrand Womens Rugby 7s championship in France.
Canada dropped a 19-14 decision to Australia in the semi finals before thumping France 36-7 in the bronze medal game. New Zealand won gold.
The 28 year old Benn, who was born in Belleville scored two tries in the final tournament of the season. She was named to the season-ending “Dream Team”.
Benn was a gold medalist with Canada at the 2015 Pan Am Games and won a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics.
