Belleville City Council is expected to decide to lay the groundwork for ongoing improvements to the city’s sewage treatment system at its meeting tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday).
Staff is recommending council choose the most qualified, and lowest of 3 tenders, for the job of creating a “Wet Weather and Wastewater Servicing Master Plan”.
The recommended bid comes from J.L. Richards and Associates out of Kingston at $413,000 plus HST.
The complex and long range plan will look at how to deal with high storm water runoffs, back-up power, and phased strategies to ensure the city has enough capacity for expansion.
