A full slate of football was in store Saturday in Belleville and it didn’t disappoint.
The Belleville Minor Football League held its championship day yesterday with four final games to cap off their 2017 season.
The McConnell Funeral Home Centurions slipped away with a victory in the ‘A’ final, winning 16-14 over the No Limits Saints for their first championship.
Earlier in the ‘B’ final, the SWE Autoglass Chargers defeated the Trent Hills Titans by a score of 28-24.
The Iron King Ltd. Mavericks won the ‘C’ championship in their first year in the league, knocking off the Woodbeck Auto Parts & Need a Hero Comics Red Devils 26-6.
And the ‘D’ final saw the Bancroft Canadian Tire Hawks upend the Trenton Kiwanis Tigers 24-7.
