A remote part of Prince Edward County was the scene of a water rescue this afternoon (Saturday).
Just after 3, emergency responders were called to North Marysburgh ward off of
County Road 7, well east of the Glenora Ferry.
A canoe had tipped well offshore, and people were hanging on to the canoe as it floated off
an area in the Bongard’s Corners area, which is basically across from Adolphustown on the mainland.
Prince Edward County firefighters, OPP and ambulance responded. However, boaters in the area responded and brought in the victims before emergency responders arrived. One person was suffering from shock and the other was in good condition.
