A short search for a missing 81-year-old woman from Belleville ended peacefully earlier this morning.
The woman, who suffers from dementia, left her west end home around 4 a.m. Saturday. Her husband noticed that she was missing and immediately called police just after 4.
Officers searched the area and were able to locate the woman, who had been hiding behind a tree in the neighbourhood
She was returned to her residence with no injuries suffered.
