The Hastings and Prince Edward School Board has released some details on upcoming school closing ceremonies, following this week’s decision on accommodation review plans, by the board of trustees.
Hillcrest School in Belleville will hold its event from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday night (June 26), with those students set to merge into Prince of Wales Public School this coming September.
Meanwhile in Prince Edward County, Pinecrest Memorial Elementary School will have its closing ceremony on Tuesday (June 27) at 6:00 p.m.
Pinecrest will close at the end of June, with students moving to Queen Elizabeth School in Picton, which becomes a JK to grade six facility, and grade seven and eight students from Pinecrest and Queen Elizabeth will move to empty space at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute this coming September.
