Supporters of the Belleville General Hospital and BGH Foundation will be rocking on for a great cause this year.
The BGH Foundation Gala Committee launched their 2017 Gala event Thursday morning, entitled “Legends of Rock”. This is the 10th straight year in the nearly-30 year history of the event that a theme will be attached.
BGHF Special Events Co-ordinator Rachel Pearsall says funds from this year’s event will go towards new ventilators in the ICU department at the hospital, as well as cancer-care equipment.
She explains how important it is to support the hospital.
Pearsall adds that the campaign goal for 2017 is to hit $300,000 in funds. Last year’s Wild Wild West gala earned $280,000 for the hospital.
General Manager at Amica Gardens and 2017 Gala Chair Tamera Bricknell says that volunteers are always needed for the event.
Tickets are now on sale and you can buy them by going to bghf.ca or by calling the BGHF office at 613-969-7400, extension 2061.
The Gala will go on September 16 at the Sears Atrium in Belleville.
