The Superintendent of Business for the Hastings Prince Edward School Board says they are in a better financial situation, than they have been in a long time.
Quinte News talked with Nick Pfeiffer this week about the school closures, consolidations, renovations and new school builds in the boards future.
Pfeiffer says the boards been in tough recently due to declining enrollment.
Pfeiffer adds the province is forcing boards to due away with vacant space, which helps save money.
