Belleville hockey fans will have another reason to be interested in this weekend’s annual entry draft in Chicago. For the first time the American Hockey League’s Belleville Senators will essentially have a seat at the draft table.
The Ottawa Senators have four picks. Sens Assistant General Manager and G.M. of the Belleville Senators Randy Lee says at some point any or all of them could be playing at the Yardmen.
Lee adds there will be competition at all levels of the professional ranks.
The draft begins in Chicago Friday night and continues through 7 rounds on Saturday.
