Belleville native Nick Cousins is desert-bound.
The 24-year-old was traded to the Arizona Coyotes from the Philadelphia Flyers Friday in exchange for prospect forward Brendan Warren and a 2018 draft pick.
Cousins is coming off scoring 16 points in 60 games in his first full season with the Flyers.
Cousins racked up 72 goals and 139 points in his minor midget season with the Quinte Red Devils and played five games as an affiliate with the Trenton Hercs (now Golden Hawks) in 2008-09. He then suited up for four seasons with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League.
