There will be a few visitors to Belleville Council’s regular meeting on Monday afternoon, speaking on a variety of topics.
Chamber of Commerce CEO Jill Raycroft will update council on some initiatives, as well as plans for the 33rd annual Waterfront and Ethnic Festival, coming up later this summer.
Representatives from the Hastings County Archives will outline plans to install five historical plaques in the downtown, to commemorate Canada’s 150th anniversary and Belleville’s 200th.
Also on the Canada 150 front, Dwane Barrett of the Canada Day Committee will give the latest details on plans for the July 1st weekend celebrations.
And Christine Durant of the Hastings Prince Edward Poverty Round Table will give an information update as well.
Belleville Council meets Monday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall.
