Quinte West has authorized the signing of a subdivision agreement for 43 residential lots being built on Orchard Lane.
On Monday night, council agreed to increase Phase 2 of the project from 42 to 43 lots and two roadways.
The draft plan approval was originally granted in November 2012 from a proposed development comprised of 225 single detached lots including one existing dwelling, three blocks for servicing, one block for storm water easement and one block for parkland.
In other business, Quinte West has signed off on the purchase of two new buses to upgrade Quinte Access’ fleet.
Council authorized the purchase of a low floor transit bus from Creative Carriage for $125,000 along with a specialized transit bus from Crestline for $95,000.
During 2017 capital budget talks council approved the purchases. Fifty percent of the bill is being picked up by the city, the other half is from Federal Transit funding.
