The Whitby Fury of the Ontario Junior Hockey League have signed two members of the Quinte Red Devil Major Midgets.
Joe Roy will be moving up to the OJHL full time next season. The 6’4″ defenceman played in 39 games for the Red Devils last season scoring 5 goals and 20 assists. He also played five games with the Trenton Golden Hawks. The 17 year old Stirling native was drafted in the 7th round by the OHL’s Niagara Ice Dogs in 2016.

Whitby also signed forward Matt Sherwin. He scored 19 goals and 18 assists in 39 games for Quinte. Sherwin was drafted by the Owen Sound Attack in the 7th round of the 2016 OHL draft.
