The high water levels do not seem to be going anywhere soon.
Quinte News talked with Belleville Fire Chief Mark MacDonald, who is a part of the Emergency Control Group, monitoring water levels and damage throughout the city.
MacDonald says the shores of the Bay of Quinte have been hardest hit.
He says it will run well into the end of June or July, without a substantial reduction until August.
Engineering services are going out on a daily basis, inspecting infrastructure that’s been damaged.
Site excavation will fully take place once the waters recede.
