We received a lot of rain yesterday, well over an inch, but it wasn’t a record rainfall for a May 29
in the Quinte region.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton, 32.4 mm of rain fell yesterday, just shy of the record of
32.8 mm, set 61 years ago on May 29 of 1956.
Meanwhile, including yesterday’s total, we’ve received just over three times the normal amount
of rain for the month of May in our area.
The historical average amount is 79.4 mm, and so far we’ve received 242.6 mm.
Sadly, there’s the possibility of more showers before the month ends tomorrow (Wednesday).
