Flooding on Lake Ontario has been causing problems for Brighton residents for weeks, but it’s now affecting one of the town’s biggest tourist attractions.
Presqu’ile Park has been closed until further notice, according to a post on its website.
The post says the heavy spring rains have caused higher than normal water levels, leading to localized flooding on park roads, campsites, trails and beach areas.
If you have a campsite booked already, park staff will be contacting you to offer a full refund, or change your booking date, without penalty.
The flooding situation at the park will be updated on the park website.
