Canada came up just short in the final of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series event in Langford B.C.
The Canadian team, which includes Napanee’s Brittany Benn, lost to New Zealand 17-7 in the final. Benn had 3 tries in the tournament.
It was Canada’s first loss after 5 straight victories over Brazil, France, Russia, England and Australia.
