Darkness and bright light together can play havoc with a person’s vision.
That must have been the case early this morning (Saturday) near Picton.
Someone called the county fire department saying a big tree on Jones Road,
north of Picton, was going up in flames.
Firefighters responded from the Mallory hall shortly after 3 o’clock only to find that the tree on fire
was actually a tree with bright lights shining on it.
Crews turned around and returned to base.
