Dozens of students walked out of class Friday morning at Moira Secondary School in Belleville.
They’re concerned about the school consolidation and closure process.
In particular, the students say they’re worried about the future of the Destinations, Futures and International Baccalaureate programs.
Student Cameron Crerar feels students have not had a chance to give their point of view.
Hastings and Prince Edward Public School Board spokesperson Kerry Donnell says the proposal calls for Moira students to move to Quinte Secondary School.
Donnell says students, staff, community members and parents will have a chance to voice their opinions at Monday night’s meeting, at the board office, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
