As always, reconstruction in a downtown will cause changes to parking patterns.
And, starting in mid-July, Bridge Street between Coleman and Pinnacle Streets in Belleville will be rebuilt as Phase 3 of the downtown revitalization project.
18 parking spots will be lost on that stretch of Bridge Street, however, the Mayor’s Implementation Team is recommending that free 2 hour parking be offered to the east, between Pinnacle and Church Street.
There are 23 parking spots on that part of Bridge Street.
City council will make the final decision on the proposal.
