A group of Syrian refugees will be finding out what life’s like down on the farm in Prince Edward County Thursday(May25).
The County’s Community Development Department and Quinte Immigration Services have organized a farm tour for 30 refugees.
The day long bus tour will feature stops at four county agri-food operations in hopes that some or all of the refugees will find work and perhaps even settle in Prince Edward County.
Taking part are Highline Mushroom Farm, Norman Hardie Winery, Hillier Creek Estates, and Hagerman Farms.
