The weather hasn’t helped those dealing with steadily increasing water levels in Lake Ontario and the Bay of Quinte.
Sandbagging and other preparations continue in many shoreline areas as the waters keep rising, as has been predicted.
However, the situation has become worse, as, according to Environment Canada and readings taken from CFB Trenton, 15.4 mm of rain fell in the Quinte region yesterday.
Flood warnings remain in effect for both the bay and the lake.
