Some great determination from the Belleville Police Street Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team led to the arrests of two locals at a Belleville hotel.
Just before 2 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police executed search warrants on the hotel and seized multiple drugs, including cocaine, heroin and cannabis, as well as a quantity of cash.
A 32 year-old woman from Belleville and a 33 year-old man from Prince Edward County were both charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count each of possession of property obtained by crime. The woman was also charged with three counts of breach of a Bail Recognizance.
Both are being held in custody until a bail hearing on Tuesday.
