A young woman faces serious charges and six people are suffering from serious injuries after a head-on crash in west end Belleville early Saturday morning.
Belleville police report a car ran a stop sign and hit another car at the intersection of West Moira and Yeomans Streets just before 2 a.m.
One of the cars then careened into a house at 198 West Moira. There was minor damage to the house.
Six ambulances responded with six people being taken to Belleville General Hospital. One person was transferred to Kingston with neck and spinal injuries.
One person had to be extricated from a car by city firefighters.
A 19-year-old Belleville woman was arrested at the scene and charged with six counts of impaired driving causing injury and other charges.
She was released to appear in court in June.
West Moira and Yeomans Streets are still closed for an investigation.
