UPDATE @ 3:20 p.m.: Prince Edward County staff say an unsafe building order has been lifted and tenants of the neighbouring apartment and Coach’s Pub are being allowed back inside.
It’s been one month since a partial collapse of a wall at downtown Picton’s historic Royal Hotel.
The wall’s crumbling led to the evacuation of the building next door, which contained Coach’s Pub and an upstairs apartment.
Repairs began immediately, but aren’t done yet and it isn’t known when they will be finished.
In the meantime, the bar remains closed and the apartment’s tenant is living elsewhere temporarily.
Part of the east wall of the Royal Hotel buckled back on April 19.
