Boating season is upon us, and boating safety is top of mind.
Tomorrow (Saturday), the Bay of Quinte Power and Sail Squadron is presenting special events
to kick off Safe Boating Week.
Safety flares from 2013 and earlier can be disposed of safely and legally tomorrow.
Volunteers will provide Recreational Vehicle Courtesy Checks to ensure you’re carrying the proper
safety equipment in your boat, and you can take part in a “wear your life jacket” photo shoot to try and
set a world record.
All of these events will be held at Crate Marine in Belleville from 10 until 2 o’clock.
