Belleville police officers and other staff took less time off last year than in 2015, and the city’s Chief of Police is pleased.
Chief Ron Gignac told the Police Services Board that policing was a tough physical job so it was encouraging to see attendance improve dramatically.
Last year, 18 Belleville police officers had perfect attendance, while 17 others missed just one day of work.
