Water levels continue to rise on Lake Ontario and in the Bay of Quinte. And, as the following photos show, people living along the lake in Brighton’s Gosport neighborhood have had to build sandbank walls to protect their property.
Lower Trent Conservation says Lake Ontario levels have already surpassed the high levels of 1973, 1974, and 1993.
The lake is expected to continue to rise through this month and perhaps into June as well.
