Avid birders are in for a real tweet on International Migratory Bird Day next month.
The Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory is hosting its annual Spring Birding Festival May 13.
Past President of the bird observatory Cheryl Anderson says in celebration of the festival and Canada’s 150th Birthday there are exciting things happening at the observatory.
PEPTBO observatory also has a new publication called Nature Matters!
The publication produced with help from The Gosling Foundation and Nature Canada details outdoor events and maps in and around the south shore in Prince Edward County starting from May 1 and running to October 31.
Other events featured in Nature Matters! include: The Walleye World Fishing Derby; Birding excursions and a 24-hour BioBlitz; Exploring butterflies and flowers in the IBA; A guided walk to Point Traverse Lighthouse (Save Our Lighthouses); A honey tour and taste and much more.
