Nineteen year old Frank Edison of Quinte West is a happy and proud man these days.
Yesterday (Thursday), Bay of Quinte Riding MP Neil Ellis and Mayor Jim Harrison presented a Canadian flag
which had flown over the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill on January 16 of this year.
Frank Edison’s uncle, also named Frank Edison, applied to receive a Peace Tower flag back in 1988, shortly after
his nephew was born.
While that may seem a long wait, if you applied for a Peace Tower flag today, you’d wait over 60 years to receive it.
