Tyendinaga Township has approved its annual budget.
Clerk Steve Mercer says it will come in at $4.2 million this year, with a levy increase of two percent.
Mercer says on the average $300,000, that means a jump of $78.
Some of the large capital projects approved for the coming year include closing the dump on Old Highway 2 at a cost of $100,000, a new dump truck at $270,000, a new air compressor for the fire department and close to $400,000 on road work.
