With stores being closed for Good Friday, yesterday was extremely busy on the roads and in stores and that led to the Belleville Police Service dealing with a number of accidents.
City police report having to respond to 7 collisions in the 5 hour period between 10 and 3 yesterday (Saturday).
Most were in the hectic commercial area around Bell Boulevard and North Front Street.
But the most spectacular occurred on Cannifton Road at 1:30 in the afternoon. A car hit another from behind which led to a collision involving a total of 4 vehicles.
Fortunately, no one was injured in any of the 7 accidents.
