On the heels of announcing the lineup for Empire Rockfest 2017, theatre owner Mark Rashotte also announced the creation of Music City.
Rashotte says as part of this year’s Rockfest, he has created an opening slot each night for a local band, who can fit the bill.
He adds that this area is perfectly suited to be a music city.
He says the goal is to grow the music industry and the music opportunities for talent in the region.
He wants this to be just the start. Music City is to bring together media groups, artists, venues, schools and all this in music.
