There will be no changes to how Prince Edward County residents go to the polls in the upcoming 2018 municipal election.
Tuesday night, council opted to keep the ballot and internet voting the same, as opposed to incorporating other methods such as telephone and mail options.
Mayor Robert Quaiff said keeping status quo was ‘the way to go.’
In 2014, of the 22,006 total electors, 9,637 people cast ballots for a total voter turnout of 44%.
Of those votes 78% were cast by paper ballots and 22% online.
The next municipal election is October 22, 2018.
