After reaching its $201,000 goal during last year’s Life Save Campaign, the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital is setting its sights even higher this year.
Last year’s total helped to buy replacement colonoscopes and gastroscopes, along with updated pharmacy equipment, which makes dispensing medications easier and faster for patients.
Executive Director Penny Rolinksi tells Quinte News, in addition to that total, another $100,000 was raised and will benefit the entire Quinte Region.
As far as this year goes, the foundation is hoping to raise about $319,000, which will again help with equipment purchases for the Endoscopy Department, as well as a new picture archiving system.
