Following along with yesterday’s Lower Trent Conservation Flood Outlook Statement, Quinte Conservation is releasing its own advisory for residents within its watershed.
Flows and water levels on the Moira, Napanee and Prince Edward Watersheds are expected to rise over the next few days with smaller creeks and streams possibly overflowing their banks.
Larger rivers should be able to handle the impact of the rain, but homeowners are advised to make sure sump pumps are working and to be aware of possible nuisance flooding in the area.
The QC flood outlook will remain in effect until Tuesday April 11th, as staff continue to monitor conditions closely.
