The Trenton Golden Hawks survived a shaky first period to beat the Cobourg Cougars 3-2 in overtime and take a 3-0 lead in the OJHL North-East Conference final. Michael Silveri scored the winner at 13:12 of o.t.
Trenton was outshot 10-5 and trailed 2-0 after the first period before Louis DiMatteo and Bryce Martin pulled the G-Hawks even. Golden Hawks Coach and General Manager Jerome Dupont says they had to change their approach.
Elliot Gerth stopped 35 shots in his second appearance for the suspended Chris Janzen. Janzen will return for game 4 tomorrow night (Thurs) in Cobourg. CJBQ 800 will have the broadcast.

In the South-West Conference final, the Georgetown Raiders lead the Oakville Blades 3-1. The winners of these two series will meet in the OJHL championship for the Buckland Cup.
