The front entrance to Belleville City Hall is now open to the public.

Thursday morning, council past and present, along with staff unveiled the cosmetic and accessibility upgrades to the foyer of the building.
Mayor Taso Christopher says the foyer is more accessible and more beautiful for everyone.

Chief Building Official Ted Marecak was the project coordinator.

The elevator now goes right from the lobby, up to the fourth floor and height adjustable counter tops have been installed in the finance and corporate services areas on the first floor.

The work cost $650,000.
