The Belleville Senators organization is taking shape with the hire of 5 key managers.
Darren Murphy joins the team as Director of Operations. Murphy has been a Director of the recent Pan-Am Games. He’s also held operations and business management roles at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver and 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Murphy has also worked for the Commonwealth Games in Manchester England and the World Track and Field Championships in Edmonton.
Belleville native Matthew Heidstra has been named Manager of business Development. Heidstra is completing his MBA from the Rotman School of Management in Toronto. He has worked in the NHL’s Global Partnership division.
Tom Zapietal spent several years with the Ottawa Senators working in sponsorship sales. The Hastings native has been named the Manager of Corporate Sponsorship.
Erin Roberts joins the Belleville Senators from the parent NHL team as well.
Roberts worked in Ottawa’s Ticket Operations Department and will manage the B-Sens Box Office.
And Chris Van Dusen has been named Manager of Ticket Sales. Van Dusen comes from the Oshawa Generals where he helped build one of the largest season ticket bases in the OHL. Van Dusen has also worked with the Toronto Blue Jays.
