A fire was started Wednesday night during the Wellington Dukes playoff game in Cobourg.
Midway through the third period, heavy black smoke began billowing out of the men’s bathroom.

Fans and members of the teams were evacuated.
Coboug Fire Captain Mark Diminie says there were retired and off duty fire members at the game, who hit the flames with fire extinguishers.

The investigation continues.
The game continued about an hour later, once crews gave the okay.
