There was a nasty domestic dispute in Belleville’s west end late yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
City say a woman was struck in the face with a cigarette by her common-law partner, causing minor injuries. It’s alleged a man wouldn’t let the woman leave the residence.
A 34 year old Belleville man has been charged with assault with a weapon and forcible confinement.
Meanwhile, police are looking for a couple of thieves with noses for fragrances.
Belleville police report 2 people entered a business in the north end of the city and stole $2,600. worth of women’s perfume at
around 5 o’clock yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
