A Prince Edward County man is an ounce heavier these days, and he couldn’t be happier.
Steven Richard won an ounce of pure gold in the Gleaners Food Bank’s annual Shamrocks on the Wall promotion.
The gold, donated by Michael Moffatt and RBC Dominion Securities, is worth almost $1,600.
The draw was made with Sean and Orlena and the MIX morning crew this morning (Tuesday).
Shamrocks on the Wall raised a total of almost $15,000 and the Gleaners Food Bank will use the money to purchase fruit and vegetables.
