In local minor hockey action, the Quinte West Minor Bantam Hawks pulled off a solid 3-1 win over the Burlington Eagles in their OMHA playoff final.
Ethan Scaletta, Dawson Douglas and Michael Patrick (into an empty net) all scored for the Hawks.
They lead their series two games to one, with a chance to wrap it up this evening in game four. The contest goes at 6:30 at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Gardens.
Sticking with Trenton, the town’s junior squad will suit up for a playoff game of their own.
The Golden Hawks are in Stouffville this afternoon to take on the Spirit for a matinee affair beginning at 2:30. The G-Hawks lead the series 1-0.
