It’s a fifth place finish for Brighton’s Trennt Michaud and partner Evelyn Walsh of London in the Pairs event at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships in Chinese Taipei City.
Michaud, a graduate of the Prince Edward Figure Skating Club and Walsh were 6th after Wednesday’s short program. They skated well in today’s free skate to move up one spot.
A duo from Australia finished first among the 16 competitors from 12 countries.
Michaud and Walsh recently won the Junior Pairs gold medal at the Bavarian Open Figure Skating competition in Obertsdorf Germany as well as the Canadian Tire National Figure Skating Championship in Ottawa in December.
