One of Belleville’s city road projects, that’s been waiting in the wings for years, is expected to get underway this spring, or early summer.
More than 20 years ago developers in the area of Haig Road and Station Street agreed to pay for the connection of the two streets in the city’s east end.
Development owners changed, and in 2003 the city agreed to take it over with development charges paying most of the cost.
Director of engineering Rod Bovay.
Bovay expects the work to be completed this year.
Haig Road and Station Street will meet as a curved intersection with no stop sign.
