Brighton native Trennt Michaud and his partner Evelyn Walsh of London are in China for the Junior World Figure Skating Championships.
They are in sixth place after today’s Junior Pairs short program with a total segment score of 51.93. Russia’s Aleksandra Boikova and Dmitrii Kozlovskii are in first place with 61.27 points.
This is the second World’s for Michaud, who is a graduate of the Prince Edward Figure Skating Club and the first for Walsh.
Last month Michaud and Walsh won the Junior Pairs gold medal at the Bavarian Open Figure Skating Competition in Obertsdorf Germany. They also won gold at the Canadian Tire National Figure Skating Championships in Ottawa in December.
