The unemployment rate in this part of Ontario bucked the national and provincial trends last month, however it remains very low.
Both the Ontario and national unemployment rates dropped a bit in February when compared to January.
In our part of the province, the unemployment rate last month was 4.5%, up from 4% in January. However, a year ago the regional rate was much higher, at 7.3%.
Last month, the national rate was 6.6%, and the provincial rate was 6.2%.
