Three local men have been charged in a joint investigation with the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and Community Drug Action Team of the Ontario.
On March 2, OPP stopped a suspect vehicle in the City of Kingston with the assistance of Kingston Police.
Police searched the vehicle and found 2.5 grams of marijuana, .8 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a sawed off 22 caliber rifle, a black air pistol, bolt cutters and a face mask.
Twenty-five-year-old Tyler Lyons of Belleville is charged with two counts of Failing to Comply with a Recognizance of Bail, Possession of a Schedule I Substance, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm, Transporting a Firearm Carelessly and Possession of a Firearm tampering with a Serial Number.
Twenty-seven-year-old Christopher Lewis of Tweed is charged with three counts of Failing to Comply with Recognizance of Bail, Possession of a Schedule I Substance, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm, Transporting a Firearm Carelessly, Possession of a Firearm tampering with a Serial Number, two counts of Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited and Possession of Ammunition while Prohibited.
Twenty-seven-year old Chad Davey of Napanee is charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance, Possession of a Schedule II Substance, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm, Transporting a Firearm Carelessly, Possession of a Firearm tampering with a Serial Number, Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited and Possession of Ammunition while Prohibited.
All three accused were held for Bail Court in Napanee.
