A female officer serving with the Port Hope Police Service is facing a number of discreditable conduct charges.
According to Northumberland News, the officer has been suspended with pay.
Her name is not being released pending a first appearance at a Police Act Hearing.
Port Hope Police Chief Bryant Wood says the charges are internal and do not involve the officer’s actions with the public.
