Quinte Red Devils graduate Dawson Baker didn’t dress for the Trenton Golden Hawks in game one of their OJHL quarter final against Newmarket. He did last night and scored the game’s only goal as the G-Hawks ace the Hurricanes 1-0. Baker says the game plan was simple.
Trenton held a 38-24 advantage in shots. Chris Janzen with the shutout.
The game was scoreless until Baker’s goal at 7:51 of the third period however G-Hawks Coach and General Manager Jerome Dupont said his team wasn’t frustrated despite badly outshooting the Hurricanes.
The series is even at one game each. It’s a short turnaround with game 3 tonight at 7:30 at the Community Gardens.
The Wellington Dukes are in Whitby for game 3 of their series tonight. The Dukes lead it 2-0. CJBQ will have the call for Prinzen Ford Sales of Bloomfield at 7:50.
